Hello! Please is there a schematic or a sort of step by step procedure to build a water wheel generator ? I would really love to learn to build one.

I dont understand how the inverter is connected to the batteries and where the incoming line from the altenator go into? I too live beside a creek. Two the one beside me feeds a larger one behind me. Amazon has a hose inline hydroelectric generator a 80volt, 5volt and 12volt. I'm trying to figure out all the other things like charge controller, batteries etc and how it all connects

If you could find an old generator in the junkyard, throw the engine in the garbage and hook it up to the water wheel

Use a different motor instead of the alternator and you could have AC power

Just for fun: this type of system mounted on two styrofoam pontoons tied off each bank side, like a raft. It can ride up and down with the rise and fall of creek. Center paddle wheel. Same drive design (maybe two alternators to balance weight on each side) Build box cover for alternator(s) and its mountings.

you did a good job, seeing what nature had to offer and used your noodle to figure out how to use it. i know this is 9 years later. hope you made a bridge for the creek so you can drive through it with out disrupting the water. there are some upgrade/redesigns you can/could do to get more power.

This is a very bad design! You want the water the furthest on the outside of the wheel, not on the inside!
